I am not a democrat but always enjoy talking to them. We can all learn from each other. I know that democrat's tax policies do not help the country as a whole. |

During his tenure in office, Bush has attempted a revolution in American government.
This effort has been scripted by a cabal of neo-conservatives, many of whom worked together in the Ford and Reagan administration. This agenda incldes: US abrogation of international treaties, agreements, and conventions. Reliance on armed intervention, and a disdain for diplomacy, the State Department, and the foreign service. An unprecedented expansion of Executive Power Unlimited classification of government documents as top secret or restricted. The maintainence of a perpetual state of military alert A reliance on covert operations and support of insurgency against unfriendly governments The collapse of entitlement programs (Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security) by precipitating a financial crisis "Unfetter" big business by relaxing environmental protection and the inspection and approval process of the FDA. Using the pretext of the September 11 attack on the United Sates, about which he had intelligence or should have had intelligence, the President conducted a campaign of deception and fraud against the people, the Senate, and the United Nations. The "War of Choice" in Iraq may become the biggest blunder in American history. We have squandered American lives and treasure to increase the power and threat of our enemies. In the orchestrated rush to war, Bush accused all dissenters of cowardice and treason. He and his spokespersons heaped scorn on diplomats, intelligence officers, our European allies, military leaders, and academic specialists who had more certain knowlege of the region and its conditions. In these years, sick animals are dragged to slaughterhouses. Inspections of meat plants, produce packaging, and industrial sites are cut back. To show environmental progress, the administration proposes raising the threshold for dangerous concentrations of toxins in the air and water. The Bureau of Indian Affairs engages in theft. National forests are clear cut at no profit to the government. Royalties on oil leases are uncollected, and forgiven. The conduct of the war is a massive scandal. Contracts are let to bid without competition or oversight. Fortunes are made in war profits by companies formerly headed by the Vice-President, while the troops cannot be sufficiently armored or supplied. Vast sums are allocated for building an infrastructure, and not 20% of the contracted work is completed or usable. Rules 1. Any member of the Bush family can be reviewed 2. Any member of the Bush administration can be reviewed 3. Any Republican office holder is complicit in the folly of this administration. 4. Considering the seriousness of the issues facing our Republic, moderate and temperate language may not be appropriate. Group Tags
